April 2021 ITA Executive Board Election

Voting will take place ONLINE from April 12 – 16, 2021

President

Sonia Kearney –  After 20 years of involvement with ITA, from Bargaining Chair to Vice President to Grievance Chair, I now want to devote all my time and energy to being your ITA President. I’ll encourage new leaders, seek member input and feedback through regular communication, and advocate strongly for your interests.

Vice President

Jessica Bracken – Educators’ voices are an essential part of advocay in education. Through my experiences with NEA research, CTA State Council and ITA Executive Board I have seen that strong union leadership can make change. If I earn your vote, your voices will be heard, uplifted and advocated for.

Secretary

Kim Howell – I’ve had the privilege of serving as Secretary for the past 4 years. I’d be honored to continue advocating for all ITA members.

Treasurer

Daniella Gorman – I have enjoyed serving on the Executive Board as Treasurer for the past six years. If elected I will continue to listen to and support all IUSD Staff.

State Council

Kari Tubbs – This past year taught me that in order to help educators and students, I must be involved to make informed decisions and to advocate for teachers in IUSD. As a State Council Rep, I will work tirelessly to do what is best for IUSD teachers and our CA colleagues.

Zane Pang – As a member of the ITA Rep Council for the last two years and co-chair on the Election Committee, I hope to continue serving the best interests of our teachers and students as a representative on State Council.

Kristy Chao –  As an Irvine sixth grade teacher and a member of ITA’s site rep council, I am seeking the position of state council representative. If elected, I will represent Irvine educators by taking an active role at the state level.

State Council Alternate

Jessica Bracken – As a State Council Representative on the Curriculum and Instruction Committee for the last three years, and an inaugural member of the Women’s Rights Committee, I hope to earn your vote for State Council Alternate.
